Power Giants CEO, Dr Kachirekwa scoops global award

High-flying businessman, Dr. Edzai Kachirekwa, the CEO and Transmission Director of Power Giants Africa has been conferred with the Global Well Respected CEO in Transmission and Electricity Distribution at the second edition of the Global Well Respected CEOs Awards held in Qatar on Wednesday.
The recognition comes after he recently clinched the Super Platinum Winner Award at the Professional Excellence Awards hosted by the Zimbabwe CEOs Network.
The Global Well Respected CEOs Awards scheme is designed to identify and publicly recognize corporate or institutional CEOs worldwide. The award winners are selected by a panel of international experts on business leadership and governance as practiced by the top tier entrepreneurs and executive managers at global level.
While the evaluation process is conducted by the Award Selection Jury backed by dedicated research consultants, the general public contributes to the awards selection process.

The Power Giants CEO is widely respected for his entrepreneurship skills and business mentorship seminars on various media platforms.
Dr. Kachirekwa has received numerous accolades at home and abroad including the Distinguished Clean Energy Champion Award (Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Awards 2023), the Top Five Innovators of The Year 2023 Award, the Leading Client Engagement Professional who personifies Impeccable Professional Standards Award.
He has also adjucated at various initiatives at universities, business seminars and is also the National Secretary for the Entrepreneurs Network of Zimbabwe (ENZ), organizers of the Annual National Iconic Entrepreneurs Awards.
He has made vast contributions to the energy sector through installations of high voltage power lines, manufacture and repairs of electrical equipment such as transformers in Zimbabwe, a country ravaged by rampant vandalism of electrical equipment. His company has been at the forefront in renewable energy infrastructure development.
He is also renowned for his remarkable efforts in shaping the renewable energy landscape and infrastructure development in Zimbabwe such as the mooted Mandatory Domestic Energy Fund which if adopted could see the country attaining energy self sufficiency without the need for external funding.
