Chatiza appointed Seed Co GCFO

African seed giant producer Seed Co International has appointed Tineyi Chatiza as the group chief financial officer following the retirement of John Matorofa.
The appointment is effective December 1 2024.
“The Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Tineyi Chatiza as group chief financial officer and Executive Director, effective 1 December 2024.
Tineyi succeeds Mr. John Matorofa, who retired following a distinguished career during which the Group achieved significant expansion across Africa,” Seed Co said in a statement.
Seed Co is confident that Chatiza’s nearly two decades of extensive experience in investment banking, finance, governance, and risk management, Tineyi will bring a unique combination of experience and expertise to the organisation.
He joined Seed Co in 2018 as group head of corporate finance before being appointed group head of corporate services and company secretary in 2022.
“In this capacity, he has overseen critical functions including financial planning, control, and reporting, as well as governance, compliance, and investor relations,” Seed Co said.
Prior to joining Seed Co, he held senior leadership positions in corporate finance, fund management, and finance in the financial services sector.
Chatiza is a chartered certified accountant and fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK).
He is also a Registered Public Accountant in Zimbabwe.
Chatiza holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honors) in Finance and Banking from the University of Zimbabwe, as well as a Diploma in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe (IOBZ).
He is an Associate of the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa (IRMSA) and a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business, USA.
